Raghav Kumar comes from a spiritual family lineage devoted to the Vedic tradition and is committed to a life to self-enquiry. Drawn to the pursuits of sadhana, as well as charitable service to underprivileged sections of Indian society, Raghav became involved with the Ramakrishna Mission organization after leaving his full-time job.

In 2001, Raghav traveled the Himalayas to study Sanskrit, Vedanta and yoga philosophy under Swami Dayananda Saraswati and other spiritual teachers within the Kailash Ashram tradition. For the last decade, he has been teaching yoga philosophy and Vedanta with his wife throughout India.
