We welcome everyone to the ashram and offer a range of program and accommodation options. Please note that all guests must be registered for a program during their stay. The total cost of your stay at the Yoga Retreat is based on your choice of program and accommodations. Use the tabs below for more information.
Accommodations
Our housing options are designed for all types of budgets and personal needs and range from self-pitched tents to comfortable cabins to luxurious beachfront suites. All of our accommodations are welcoming and simple, allowing you to relax and enjoy your spiritual getaway with us at the Ashram.
Please note
- Accommodation rates are all-inclusive for our Yoga Vacation Program.
- Courses, cleanses, and trainings have an additional tuition.
- Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course rates are all-inclusive.
- Minimum 2-night stay year-round.

Payments We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We do not accept American Express, personal checks, or travelers checks. All deposits and payments in US dollars only.
Deposits To guarantee your reservation, a $500 deposit is required. The balance is due 14 days before your arrival. If the booking is made within 14 days of arrival, the full balance is due at the time of booking.
Our rates are seasonal

Rooms are available for single or double occupancy. Prices are listed per night, per room and are in US dollars. Rates include accommodations, meals, yoga classes, satsangs, and Yoga Vacation workshops. A Bahamian VAT tax of 10% will be added.

Beachfront Room – 2 Double Beds with Private Bath and Balcony
Delight in breathtaking, wide-open views of the sparkling ocean from your own beachfront private balcony. Our Beachfront Rooms are simple and spacious, furnished with two double beds and include a private bathroom with shower and tub. You will have a miniature refrigerator, kitchen sink, tea kettle, and tableware. These rooms are fully air-conditioned; bedding and one towel set per person are provided (incl. bath towel and beach towel).

Ocean View Room – Optional Bed Configuration: Two Twin Beds or One King Bed, with Private Bath and Balcony
Relax into gorgeous views of the turquoise ocean from your balcony, and be within a stone’s throw distance from our beachfront yoga platform. Choose from either one king bed or two extra-long twin beds, and enjoy your own private bathroom with shower and tub. These spacious rooms also have a rocking chair, desk, and kitchen area with a small refrigerator, kitchen sink, tea kettle, and tableware. These rooms are fully air-conditioned; bedding and one towel set per person are provided (incl. bath towel and beach towel).

Ideal for solo travelers, our Single Room offers a comfortable space with one twin bed, simple furnishings, and air conditioning. Single rooms are situated in various locations throughout the Ashram, including within our main building. Depending on the location of your room, various shared bathrooms are available within a few seconds walking distance. Bedding and one bath towel are provided.

A Spacious Twin Bed Room contains two twin beds with the option to add a cot for a third person. These rooms are sold for single, double, or triple occupancy. They are located in various parts of the Ashram, and shared bathrooms are nearby. Bedding and one bath towel per person are provided.

Tent Hut Double – One Double Bed
Perfect for couples and close friends, our Tent Hut with Double Beds feature one double bed and allow you to sleep in the Bahamas breeze. Sized for two people, these Tent Huts are comfortably furnished with a simple closet, nightstand with bedside lamp and fan, and electrical outlets. Bedding and one bath towel per person are provided for you, and shared bathrooms are a short walk away. Tent Huts are available from November until June.

Tent Hut Single – One Twin Bed
Sleep in the fresh, tropical air while still enjoying indoor comforts — including one twin bed, electrical outlet, simple furnishings, and a nightstand with bedside lamp and fan. It’s the easiest camping you’ll ever do, while you’re safely surrounded by your Tent Hut neighbors. Bedding and one bath towel are provided for you, and shared bathrooms are a short walk away. Tent Huts are available from November until June.

Tent Space
Many of our guests are nature lovers. Set up your tent near the beach, bay, or amongst the palm trees. Create your own sacred space within in the Ashram to reconnect with nature and sleep close to the earth. And you won’t be completely alone — get ready to meet “tent neighbors” from around the world!
Bring your own tent (sized up to 8’x8′), camping gear, mattress, bedding, and towels.
Tent Spaces are available from November through May.

Flexible Cancellation Policy
If you would like to discuss rescheduling or cancelling an existing reservation, please email [email protected].
There are no change fees to reschedule a reservation. Guests are responsible for any accommodation price differences between the original reservation and the new reservation.
For this policy, all cancellation periods are calculated using calendar days based on the scheduled arrival date, regardless of the guest’s expected arrival time.

Deposits
To guarantee your reservation, a USD $500 deposit is required per reservation. The remaining balance is due at least 14 calendar days before your scheduled arrival date. If a reservation is made within 14 calendar days of arrival, the full balance is due at the time of booking.
Deposit Validity
If a reservation is cancelled, if the deposit becomes part of the resulting credit note it is subject to the refund rules and Credit Note Terms and Conditions below.
- Reservations originally made before September 1, 2026: Any resulting credit note remains valid for two years from the date it is issued, in accordance with the payment and cancellation policy in effect when the reservation was originally made.
- Reservations originally made on or after September 1, 2026: Any resulting credit note expires three years from the date the original reservation was made, regardless of when the reservation is cancelled.
Payments
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We do not accept American Express, personal cheques, or traveller’s cheques. All deposits and payments are accepted in US dollars only.
Splitting Payments / Using a Different Credit Card for the Balance
The balance payment will automatically be charged to the credit card on file 14 calendar days before arrival.
Guests who wish to split the payment or pay with a different credit card must complete their payment 15 calendar days before arrival. Otherwise, the credit card on file will be charged automatically.
Paying with a different credit card, including splitting a payment, can be done using the Guest Statement link provided in your confirmation email.
Paying with Credit on File
If you have a credit note on file, the way you make your reservation depends on the reservation total and timing.
If reserving more than 14 calendar days before arrival
If your total reservation cost exceeds your credit note plus the required USD $500 deposit, you may reserve online as usual by paying the USD $500 deposit. Once your reservation has been made, please email [email protected] immediately to have your credit note applied. Your credit note will then be applied toward the remaining balance.
If reserving within 14 calendar days of arrival, or if the reservation total does not exceed the credit note plus the USD $500 deposit
Please email [email protected] with your requested dates, accommodation type, and guest details. Our Reservations Team will apply your credit note and confirm your reservation.
Please note: We are unable to refund completed payments in order to apply a credit note retroactively.
Reminder: All Voucher Credits issued following the Ashram’s post-pandemic reopening expired on December 14, 2024, three years after the reopening date of December 14, 2021. No Voucher Credits remain valid beyond December 14, 2024.
Wire Transfer Payments (Exception Policy)
Wire transfers are accepted on an exception basis and are subject to a USD $25 administrative fee.
A $500 deposit must still be paid by credit card at the time of booking. This card will remain on file as an approved and authorized payment method for charges due if the wire transfer is not received, and for any incidental charges incurred during the stay.
The remaining balance may be paid by wire transfer and must be received (not sent) at least 21 days prior to arrival.
If the wire transfer is not received by this time, the credit card on file will be charged automatically 14 days prior to arrival, in accordance with our standard payment policy.
Guests must notify Reservations in advance if they intend to pay by wire transfer. This request must be confirmed in writing via email ([email protected]) and must be acknowledged in writing by our team to be valid. If acknowledgement is not received in writing from the Reservations Team, then standard payment terms will apply, and the card on file will be charged accordingly.
Please Note
We are unable to refund credit card payments where a wire transfer is missed, delayed, or not received in full by the required deadline.
The Ashram is not responsible for bank fees, intermediary bank fees, transfer delays, or currency exchange differences.

Refunds and credit notes are subject to the course-specific eligibility rules below.
Cancellation 31 or More Calendar Days Before Arrival
Guests may choose either:
- A refund of all payments made toward the reservation, less a USD $55 processing fee; or
- A credit note for all eligible payments, with no processing fee.
Cancellation 3–30 Calendar Days Before Arrival
We will refund all payments made toward the reservation except the deposit, without a processing fee. The deposit will become a credit note. Guests may instead choose a credit note for all eligible payments.
The validity of any credit note is determined by the date the reservation was originally made. Please refer to the Credit Note Terms and Conditions below.
Refunds Are Not Available Under the Following Conditions
- Cancellations or changes made 0–2 calendar days before arrival, including partial stay reductions: a credit note will be issued for all eligible payments.
- Changes made after check-in: a credit note will be issued only for eligible unused amounts.
- No-show: no refund and no credit note.
Refunds will be issued only to the original credit card used for payment.
We understand that flight delays and circumstances beyond anyone’s control, such as severe weather or a pandemic, can affect travel. If this happens, please keep us proactively informed so we can work with you regarding your reservation.
No-show means that the Reservations Team received no notice of the cancellation or reschedule before the scheduled arrival date, or received notice only after that date. No notice + no-show = no refund + no credit note.
Credit Notes
Credit Notes are credited as follows:
Yoga Vacation Program Reservations
A credit note will be issued for the amount paid toward the eligible cancelled accommodation portion of your reservation.
Teacher Training Course / Advanced Teacher Training Course
A credit note will be issued for the amount paid toward the eligible cancelled portion of the course and accommodation.
Other Courses
A credit note will be issued for eligible unused accommodation fees only. Tuition fees are not eligible for refunds or credit notes.

Credit Note Terms and Conditions
Reservations Originally Made Before September 1, 2026
Credit notes remain valid for two years from the date of issue.
Reservations Originally Made On or After September 1, 2026
Credit notes remain valid for only three years from the date the original reservation was made, regardless of when the reservation is cancelled.
Example
- Reservation made: January 1, 2027
- Scheduled arrival date: June 15, 2028
- Reservation cancelled: May 20, 2028
- Credit note expires: January 1, 2030
All Credit Notes
- Credit notes are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person. Please contact us if you would like to transfer your credit note.
- Credit notes issued by the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat, Nassau, Bahamas are location-specific and cannot be transferred to another Sivananda Ashram or Centre.
- Credit notes may be used for accommodations, onsite course tuition, or online offerings, excluding online certified training programs.
- Credit notes cannot be used for treatments at the Well Being Center or purchases from the Boutique.
- When making a new reservation using a credit note, a new USD $500 deposit is still required. Credit notes cannot be used in place of the required deposit and will instead be applied to the remaining balance of the reservation.
Please note: No refund is available if you attend a program and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content, or due to dissatisfaction with the Yoga Retreat’s schedule or accommodations.
Gift Certificates
Terms and Conditions
Validity: Gift certificates are valid for two years from the date of purchase.
Non-Refundable: Gift certificates are non-refundable under all circumstances.
Transferability: Gift certificates may be transferred to a friend or loved one.
Usage Restrictions
- Gift certificates cannot be used at the Well Being Center or Boutique.
- Gift certificates are valid only for onsite accommodations and courses offered at the Ashram.
- Expired gift certificates will not be extended.
- Gift certificates are valid only at the Sivananda Bahamas Ashram Yoga Retreat and cannot be redeemed at another affiliated Sivananda Ashram or Centre.
- Gift certificates have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, in whole or in part.
Lost or Misplaced Certificates
Gift certificates are issued electronically. If access to your certificate is lost due to an error in the name or email address provided, we will do our best to locate it. However, if we are unable to locate a record because incorrect information was supplied, the Ashram cannot be held responsible.
Redemption Process
Gift certificates may be redeemed by:
- Contacting the Reservations Team before making a reservation so the gift certificate can be applied; or
- Making a reservation online with the required USD $500 deposit and then contacting Reservations immediately to apply the gift certificate balance. Use this option only when the balance remaining after the deposit is equal to or greater than the gift certificate value. If the remaining balance is less than the gift certificate value, contact Reservations before making the reservation. We cannot refund any overpayment in order to apply a gift certificate retroactively.
Modifications
The Ashram reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
Families
Families with children are welcome at the Yoga Retreat year-round as part of the Yoga Vacation Program. We also offer special Family Programs during Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year’s, Easter/Passover, and select holidays throughout the year. For specific dates and details, please visit our Families & Children Calendar.
Children’s Rates
(For children staying in their parents’ room only. Age is based on the child’s age at the time of arrival.)
- Age 4 and under: Free
- Ages 5–11: Add $50 + tax per child, per night
- Age 12 and older: Standard adult accommodation rates
Children staying in their own room are charged the full adult room rate.
Important Information for Families
- Baby cribs are available for $15 per night + 10% Bahamian tax
- High chairs and infant life vests are not available; please come prepared
- Children under 12 years old must be supervised by an adult at all times
- The Ashram does not provide daycare or childcare services
Booking with Children Under 12
Please complete your online booking for the adults only, then email or call our reservations team to add children to your reservation.
Important:
Leaving a note on your booking does not reserve space for your child. Children must be added and confirmed by the reservations team.
Children ages 12 and older must be booked and paid for at the full adult rate.
Special Offers and Discounts
Summer Getaway Rates
From June 10 – October 31 all rooms are offered at a discounted rate compared with the winter pricing (November 1 – June 9). See the Accommodations tab for the price list.
Group Accommodation Discounts
- 10% discount for groups of 10 or more
- 15% discount for groups of 20 or more
Group discounts apply only to accommodation rates, and only if all members of the group register and pay together as a group for the same time period. Group discounts cannot be combined with other special offers or discounts. Some holidays and special events are excluded from the group discount. Please be in touch with Reservations to request a group accommodation discount.
On-Site Booking Discount (YVP Lodging Only)
Discount Offer Guests receive 10% off Yoga Vacation Program (YVP) lodging when they make a qualifying future booking while staying onsite at Sivananda Bahamas Yoga Retreat. Eligible Bookings The discount applies to one or more future Yoga Vacation Program lodging bookings, or to a room upgrade made while onsite (including any additional nights added as part of that upgrade). The discount does not apply to the original booking already in progress. Booking Requirements Discounted bookings must be made in person while the guest is onsite, through Reception (who may contact Reservations to process the booking). Bookings made online do not qualify, even if the registrant was onsite at the time of booking. The discount must be applied at the time of booking and cannot be added retroactively. Scope of Discount The 10% discount applies only to the dates, room type, and number of guests confirmed at the time of the onsite booking. Added Guests After Booking Any guests added after the onsite booking has been made will be charged at the regular published rate and are not eligible for the onsite booking discount. Date Changes / Rescheduling If a discounted booking is changed after the guest has departed, the onsite booking discount does not automatically carry over to the revised reservation. In some cases, Reservations may be able to honor the discount at their discretion. Payment A deposit is required at the time of booking, in line with standard Sivananda Bahamas Yoga Retreat policy. Standard payment and cancellation policy applies to all reservations. View our Flexible Cancellation Policy . Limitations Guests may not split, extend, or modify bookings to receive multiple discounts. Blackout dates include December 19 – January 4, two days before and after Krishna Das’s three-day retreat, and certain other events (TBD). General Conditions Subject to availability. Cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts. Applies to YVP lodging only. Program dates subject to change. Management reserves the right to modify or withdraw the offer at any time.

Which rooms have private bathrooms?
Beachfront Deluxe rooms, Oceanview Deluxe rooms, and Bayside Rooms with Bath all have ensuite private bathrooms. All other accommodations are within a one-minute walk of shared restrooms.
I’m travelling with my family. Which rooms are best for that?
The Beachfront Deluxe rooms can fit four people while the Oceanview Deluxe rooms can fit three. Both of these room options have a balcony and private bathroom. Another option is the spacious twin bed room, which can fit three people (two single beds plus one cot). These rooms are located throughout the Ashram and within a one-minute walk of shared washrooms.
What is the difference between a Beachfront Deluxe room and an Oceanview Deluxe room?
Great question! These rooms are quite comparable: private bathroom, balcony, provisioned with beach towels and a tea kettle, located close to the ocean. The key differences are the bed arrangement, the color of the wood floors, and proximity to the yoga platform. Oceanview Deluxe rooms are close to the yoga platform. They can be arranged with two twin beds or one king bed, with space to add a cot or crib. Beachfront Deluxe rooms are further from the main concourse and therefore more secluded. They have two double beds and room for a cot or crib (no king bed option).
Do I need to bring towels or bedding? What comes with the room?

All of the rooms and tent huts are within a 5-minute walk of the beach, dining area, harbor, and yoga platforms. Rooms without private bathrooms are within a 1-minute walk of communal washrooms. Toiletries (shampoo, bath soap, toothpaste, etc.) are not included in the rooms – please pack accordingly or plan to purchase in the Boutique. There is a communal ironing board in the guest laundry room. No hair dryers available. Deluxe rooms and Bayside rooms are provided with hand soap. Tent huts have electricity, a lamp, a fan, and basic furnishings (bed, wardrobe, bookshelf).
What is included in the accommodations price?
In addition to the room itself, the accommodations price includes the following:

Will I share the room with a stranger?
The Ashram used to offer dormitory-style accommodations in which guests booked one bed in a shared room and were open to sharing with a stranger (also called a friend waiting to happen). Since March 2020, this has not been an option. All rooms are now private, meaning that you’ll stay by yourself or with your chosen travel companions.
