Laura Smith is a student of South Asian languages and literature at the University of Virginia, focusing on Sanskrit texts and translation. Her current research is on the primary texts of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, including the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavata Purana. She has been leading kirtan in the Charlottesville area since 2014.
