Juan De la Sierra, PhD, is a virtuoso guitarist, composer, and music educator who has delighted audiences worldwide for over four decades. His musical offerings of the devotional music of the Sepharadim, the Spanish Jews so intimately interwoven with that of the Arab peoples, embody the spirit of Convivencia: that diverse cultures and religions can live side-by-side in peace and with mutual respect. Through the flamenco guitar, the ancient kinnor (King David Harp) and voice, Juan weaves a musical tapestry that is both traditional and innovative, melding Mediterranean styles from Spain, Turkey, and the Holy Land.
