What You’ll Learn:
Swami Sivananda taught that “thoughts are living things.” Any thought that crosses the mind of a person gives rise to vibrations that travel far and wide in all directions, creating success or its opposite on their path. In his book Thought Power, he shared guidance for directly applying wholesome, constructive, and inspiring thoughts to achieve success, peace, health, happiness, and God-realization.
In this program, you learn how to use thought-power for healing, increasing creativity, organization, and overcoming habitual and intrusive thoughts and habits. We will use a combination of theory and daily practice to learn how to align our bodies, food choices, and surroundings to increase a positive way of thinking and living. Most of all, you will learn that yoga checks, controls, and stops the root function of the mind—thought. When thought is transcended, intuition opens and Self-knowledge supervenes.
This program includes daily meditation practice, and you will gain the skill and understanding that you need to live out these teachings of Swami Sivananda: “You yourself make, by the power of your thought, your destiny. You can undo it if you like. All faculties, energies, and powers are latent in you. Unfold them, and become free and great.”
Requirements & Recommendations:
Swami Hridyananda is a direct disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda and senior staff at the Yoga Retreat. She has spent over 35 years teaching different aspects of yoga, as well as teaching in Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Courses. She also teaches meditation, thought power, chanting, and supports individuals on their inner transformative journey.
