Meditation, Healing, and Inner Peace

Tom Spector (Kumar)

Meditation is one of the most powerful practices in yoga and can be practiced daily. The busy mind causes unrest and unhappiness, so learning to control it through meditation brings clarity and insight. Join us for an exploration of meditation practices that you can try at home, following simple, easy-to-follow steps. With these practical techniques, you will find relief from stress, anxiety, and pain, and restore self-esteem and inner peace. Learn to use meditation practices for healing and cultivating peace within yourself. Relax into an inspiring blend of profound wisdom and light humor as you effectively strengthen your practice. Meditators of all levels are welcome to embark on this sacred journey into the self.

Offered as 4 workshops and 1 satsang.

The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with an 6am satsang on the first day of the program and conclude with an noon workshop on the last day of the program.  Click here to read more about the Yoga Vacation Program details and view the ashram schedule for yoga classes and meals during your stay. We suggest you arrive at least one day prior to the start of your program for the optimal experience.

Tom Spector (Kumar), PhD, began meditating in 1968 while enrolled in a highly selective, intense graduate program at Yale University. Meditation clarified issues and enabled him to complete the full doctoral program in three years. He has continued a daily meditation and yoga practice ever since, even when he worked as an international vice president for cancer research. Tom enjoyed personal meditations with Swami Vishnudevanda and has studied under Ram Dass. He has been teaching meditation and healing since 1976 and authored Our Two Gardens: How to Cultivate Healing, and produced a CD entitled Meditation and Healing.
