Date & Time: September 5-6, 12:00-2:00pm EDT
Hours: 4 hours
What you’ll learn:
In this retreat, we will understand the role of relaxation in relation to yogic practices, specifically within the 5 points of yoga presented by Swami Vishnudevananda. We will also discuss how relaxation can be practiced independently.
We will then describe the 3 levels of relaxation (physical, mental & spiritual), and the role of each in our yoga practice and daily life.
The connection between Savasana & Pranayama will be discussed and practiced, as well as the steps to develop the art and skill of deep relaxation in a short time.
Each of the days we will have a total of the approximately one-hour practice of relaxation (several practices every time) with the purpose of helping you to develop an independent ability to relax in a short period of time.
This program is offered live through Zoom webinar with the availability for students to interact through Q&A with the presenter.
For enrolled students, a video recording will be available after each class in the event you miss a class or would like to review the content.
It is possible to register and take the course at any time. You can catch up on any classes you miss with the recordings.
