Proper relaxation is one of Swami Vishnudevananda’s 5 Points of Yoga, essential to the mind and body. It is the cool down time of life and allows for better digestion of food and calmer, easier thought flow.
Conscious relaxation is the essence of the Sivananda asana practice, where the benefits of the postures and movement of energy are allowed to integrate and continue to resonate throughout your day. You will learn and practice foundational techniques to bring home with you to sustain a more balanced, and enjoyable, pace of life.

Parvati Chaitanya is a senior staff member of the ashram with many years of experience teaching, studying, and practicing yoga. She currently serves the ashram as caretaker of the gardens.
