Tenzin Yignyen is a teacher and leader in Buddhist philosophies, meditation, and spiritual practices. Since entering the Namgyal Monastery at age 16, he has studied under the teachings of the Dalai Lama and received the highest monastery degree after many years of rigorous training.

A professor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Tenzin travels throughout the United States and Canada to teach, construct sand mandalas, and speak on the topics of Tibetan Buddhist arts and philosophy. With spirituality and compassion at the core of his teachings, he presents in diverse settings including colleges, museums, galleries, and spiritual centers.

Tenzin also leads spiritual pilgrimages to India and Mongolia, helping his students experience depth in the both the lineage and its spiritual practices. He serves the mission of bringing peace, harmony, and compassion to the forefront of humanity.
