Essential oils and plant extracts have been utilized for thousands of years for the purpose of healing, cleansing, and balancing the body, mind, and emotions. By combining the use of essential oils with your yoga practice, you may find yourself more physically, mentally, and emotionally available for your practice, both on and off the mat.
Experience aromatherapy techniques, yoga asanas (postures), and pranayama (breathing techniques) in this workshop to guide you inwards towards a meditative experience. This workshop consists of theory and practice, teaching simple techniques that can be practiced at home, work, or any time needed.
Participants will have the opportunity to sample essential oils for each condition. We will explore the effects on how these beautiful gems of nature can enhance feelings of well-being and melt stress away, soothing the body, mind, and heart. Come to practice, relax, and learn how to incorporate the healing benefits of aromatherapy into your life and onto your mat. Give yourself a mental reboot and open all the channels within the body to feel the free flow of prana and vitality moving through you.

Tarini (Shanna) Ramakrishnan is a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT850) trained in the Krishnamacharya tradition, and a Sivananda yoga teacher (RYT200). Tarini has been studying closely with Yoga of Recovery creator Durga Leela since 2014. She relocated to India from her home in California in 2017 to deepen her studies of Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda.
Tarini has incorporated yoga practices, Ayurvedic lifestyle recommendations, and aromatherapy into her personal healing journey. Her passion for natural solutions began with a search for alternative ways to support her own recovery pathway and emotional well-being. After completing her first yoga teacher training, she began to understand how powerful the yoga practices can be when combined with certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils. Through the use of high quality, essential oils, Tarini guides her clients with education, support and tools for all aspects of their health and wellness.
