Sound Medicine

Healing Sounds Practices of Ayurveda and QiGong

Yuval Ron

Breathing techniques and chanting meditation practices have been shown to impact the structure and function of the brain in ways that enhance memory, cognition, and awareness, and can also promote healing by lowering anxiety, depression and anger. Learn tools for breathing and chanting meditation practices from the Ayurvedic medicine tradition of India and 6 Healing Sounds of Qigong, and Brain Entrainment sound modalities that may promote well-being, resilience, inner peace, reduced anxiety and stress.

The course is based on Yuval Ron’s collaborations with neuroscientists Dr. Andrew Newburg and Mark Robert Waldman (fellows of the Center for Spirituality and the Mind in Penn State U and authors of How God Changes Your Brain), psychotherapist Dr Sanjay Manchanda, pioneer healers Dr. Richard Gold, pioneer Brain Entrainment researcher Robert Monroe, and Ayurvedic healers. This course is experiential and includes live music, chanting, simple movements and references to some of the latest research in music therapy and Neuroscience, mostly when such research confirms earlier mystical traditions.

Offered as 3 satsangs and 3 workshops (subject to change).

The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with an 8pm satsang on the first day of the program and conclude with a 90-minute noon workshop on the last day of the program.  Click here to read more about the Yoga Vacation Program details and view the ashram schedule for yoga classes and meals during your stay.
