Somatic Healing

Somatic Healing Session is a biological, lying down, full body meditative approach to prioritizing and advancing the awareness inwardly of all of the body’s systems by observing where survival and the energy of the past is currently held in the body.

Through guided focus, as the observer, a participant investigates what may be limiting, dis-regulating, degenerating and compromising their current state of health physically, mentally or emotionally.

This interoceptive practice can energize the body, upgrading it’s systems improve immune regulation & reveal new possibilities. The result is more energy, a raised frequency, an elevated consciousness and a felt sense of the level of coherent potential that you indeed hold in this body.

In each session, there will be guided lecture, as learning is firing an wiring new synaptic connections of meaning.

Lectures will include:

Somatic integration definition

The body as matter

Biology and feelings

The nature of pain

The brain and mind

Self Regulation

The autonomic nervous system

We will also be doing numerous lying down Somatic meditations for healing the body, prioritizing your inner world, encouraging transformation to take place.

Somatic Meditation Practices for healing will include:

Awakening the body in Somatic Mediation

Feeling the body from within Somatic Meditation

Observing, seeing and hearing our pain Somatic Meditation

Changing our mind and healing our brain Somatic Meditation

Self Regulation Somatic Meditation

Neuroception; Releasing the hormones of stress Somatic Meditation

This is an introductory course that could lead to a 40 hour certification, learning to share this with others with additional trauma aware guidance and the release of limited beliefs.

Some personal reasons to apply Somatic Healing are:

*Over use of survival/living off of the hormones of stress

*Difficulty self regulating in stressful moments

*Chronic mood swings, fatigue, an over active mind or panic

*Sleepless or difficulty resting

*Focus on biological upgrading & releasing the sickness of the body from within

*Training ourselves to no longer carry the story of the past in the body

*Rehearsal of stressful situation ahead of time (court dates, surgery, business meetings, sports, performance)

*Focusing on new possibilities not yet aware of in the body

*To heal, change and feel empowered

Please note: Course tuition includes $30 for the study manual.

This course is also supplemental for:

Trauma Counselors, Psychotherapists, Massage Therapists, Registered Nurses, Naturapaths, Yoga Teachers, Physical Therapists, Meditators, Energy Healers, Ayurveda Practitioners and all Holistic based practices meant for self liberation.

Swan Michelle has been a full time Holistic Educator, Wellness Event Producer and Sound Therapist, specializing in Sound, Meditation & Energy, since 1998. She is the Founder of Swan River Yoga, the largest wellness & yoga center in the Gulf Coast region of the United States. She has traveled to India and Bali, the East, numerous ashrams and world many times to gather trainings in Asana, Sound Therapy, Restorative Yoga, Ayurveda, Reiki, Bhakti Yoga, Somatic meditation, Trauma informed practices and Yoga Nidra. Her specialties are offering and leading Yoga Teacher Trainings, Somatic Meditation Trainings, Sound Bath Concerts and offering both local and International Yoga Retreats in nature.

Studying with countless masters, such as Ram Dass, Radhanath Swami, Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, Shri K Pattabhi Jois, Judith Lasater, Dr. Mark Halpern, John Beaulieu and many more, her most current training is with Dr. Joe Dispenza, as a student of Neuro-science concepts & neuro change in his Neuro Change Solutions Program, where she will graduate in June 2024.

Daily Schedule (subject to change):

Your course schedule has been designed by the presenter to provide a holistic educational experience, and includes course presentation time, meal times, and free time for you to enjoy the beach and the grounds and participate in the ashram’s daily programs. Lines in bold type indicate required course times.

Morning and Evening Satsang: community gatherings for meditation, chanting & teachings; sometimes a silent beach walk.
*Yoga Asana & Pranayama Classes: available on outdoor ocean and bayfront platforms (beginner and intermediate levels offered twice daily).
