Healing the Body and the Mind After Relationship Trauma

Dr. Avery Neal

This program is part of The Alchemy of Healing: Transforming Trauma into Wholeness Symposium, January 21-24, 2027

The wounds of chronic mistreatment—whether experienced in childhood, intimate relationships, family dynamics, or the workplace—can leave lasting imprints on the body, mind, and spirit. Relationship trauma often creates patterns of fear, self-doubt, anxiety, and disconnection that persist long after the difficult circumstances have ended. Yet healing is possible. With understanding, compassionate self-awareness, and the right tools, we can restore a sense of safety, resilience, and trust in ourselves.

In this transformative program, participants will explore the often-overlooked impact of relationship trauma and learn how chronic stress affects the nervous system, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Through practical teachings, guided reflection, nervous system regulation practices, body-based healing techniques, and powerful visualization exercises, attendees will gain clarity about unhealthy relational patterns—both in others and within themselves—and discover pathways toward greater confidence, emotional freedom, and authentic self-expression.

Designed to illuminate the path from survival to thriving, this program offers a holistic approach to healing that addresses mind, body, and soul. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of relationship trauma, tools to support lasting healing and nervous system balance, and a renewed sense of possibility for creating a life rooted in trust, inner peace, and personal empowerment.
