Arielle Schwartz, PhD, CCTP-II, E-RYT is a licensed clinical psychologist, certified complex trauma professional, EMDR consultant, and Kripalu-trained yoga teacher. A leading voice in the field of trauma recovery, she is internationally recognized for her integrative, mind-body approach to healing and her ability to make complex psychological concepts both accessible and deeply human.
Arielle is the author of seven influential books, including The Complex PTSD Workbook, EMDR Therapy and Somatic Psychology, The Post-Traumatic Growth Guidebook, and her most recent title, Applied Polyvagal Theory in Yoga. Her work blends the latest research in neuroscience with the wisdom of somatic psychology, yoga, and mindfulness-based practices, offering a comprehensive framework for trauma recovery and emotional resilience.
As the founder of the Center for Resilience Informed Therapy, Arielle specializes in applied polyvagal theory—helping clients and clinicians understand how the autonomic nervous system shapes mental and physical health. Her therapeutic approach weaves together relational therapy, EMDR, parts work, somatic practices, and therapeutic yoga to restore balance, safety, and connection from the inside out.

Avery Neal, PhD, LPC is a practicing psychotherapist, international author and speaker. In 2012 she opened Women’s Therapy Clinic, which offers psychiatric and counseling support to women. Avery is the author of, “If He’s So Great, Why Do I Feel So Bad?: Recognizing and Overcoming Subtle Abuse,” which has been translated and published in twelve languages. Her articles and interviews have been published by Oprah.com, DailyOM, Counseling Today, American Counseling Association, Best Self Magazine, Hitched Magazine, Bustle, POPSUGAR and PKWY Magazine and her courses have been taken by over 20,000 people worldwide.
