Japji is a seminal daily prayer from the Sikh tradition, with 40 stanzas, or steps, each with a sacred message and instruction to guide one to self awakening. In this workshop, Snatam and Sopurkh will focus on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th stanzas, which teach us how the mind can see the truth which is essentially oneness consciousness. It is a surrendering process to Grace that can be challenging for the mind to accept, however the benefits of peace and joy in the present moment within the mind, are well worth it.
Offered as 1 evening satsang and 2 workshops (subject to change).
Through inspirational concerts, workshops, immersion courses and retreats, Snatam Kaur shares the power of Sikh sacred music with the world. Sopurkh Singh has been teaching yoga & meditation in retreats, workshops and classes for the past 20 years. Sopurkh accompanies Snatam musically with tabla, providing a meditative and devotional rhythm for their chanting events. Sopurkh and Snatam live in New Hampshire with their daughter Jap Preet and two dogs. Together they founded an online school specializing in the teaching of kirtan (sacred music) and Kundalini yoga, called Kirtan and Kundalini, which serves people globally.
Snatam & Sopurkh are joined by Ezra Landis on guitar and his partner Emelia.
