In this course, you’ll dive deep into the essential skills of meditation. Over time, these skills—concentration, clarity, equanimity, and care—work together to gradually reshape your habits of mind and heart, transforming your relationship with life itself. From mastering the art of presence to embracing our shared humanity, meditation is about connecting to both what’s uniquely “you” and to what transcends our individual lives. This process, Jeff explains, isn’t about aiming for perfection or stopping our thoughts but about gently shifting our relationship to them, allowing thoughts to settle into the background as we expand into a broader field of awareness.
Jeff’s approachable teaching style makes these concepts accessible, practical, and inviting to all—from skeptics to first-time meditators to experienced practitioners. In his words, “Meditation is really just the practice of being human.” Through cultivating these skills, participants learn to create a balanced, accepting space for all aspects of themselves. Expect sessions that blend humor, practical advice, and a sense of discovery, helping you integrate mindfulness into your daily life in ways that are both fulfilling and sustainable.
Participants will also learn to bridge the “gap” between ideal and reality, recognizing how meditation reveals new insights about daily challenges and personal growth. This awareness leads to a kind of internal peace—a profound state of acceptance with oneself and the present moment that can ripple outward, inspiring a more compassionate connection to others. You could say meditation is the art of connecting both to our humanity, and to that which is beyond our humanity. To humanity and beyond!
