Yoga Vacation Program
March 13 — 15, 2025

Integrating Modern Medicine and Ayurveda to Boost Longevity

Akil Palanisamy, MD

In this course, Dr. Akil will share practical, actionable tips and tools in the areas of diet, lifestyle, exercise, and stress management to optimize your health span and longevity. In all areas he will synthesize the latest medical advances with the Ayurvedic sciences, including their approach to rejuvenation called Rasayana – which encompasses diet, spices, herbs, and lifestyle practices. He will teach you all the ways you can lower your “biological age”, regardless of your chronological age.

A highlight of this program will be his discussion of the fascinating research on how your beliefs about food, sleep, physical activity, and stress can actually shift the physiology of your body and how it performs in each of these realms. He will correlate this research on the transforming power of your mindset with ancient Vedic texts such as the Charaka Samhita, which understood that beliefs create an individual’s perception of reality and consequently determine their physiology.

Whether you are looking to enhance your own health or that of your family members and friends, this program is an essential resource for anyone looking to unlock the full potential of their longevity with the profound wisdom of integrating Ayurveda and Western medicine.

Offered as 3 satangs and 2 workshops (subject to change).

The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with an 8pm satsang on the first day of the program and conclude with an 8pm satsang on the last day of the program.  Click here to read more about the Yoga Vacation Program details and view the ashram schedule for yoga classes and meals during your stay.
