Relaxation Massage

Pierre Montpetit

In this 90-minute experiential workshop, you will learn the basic principles of giving a relaxing and highly enjoyable massage. Neck, shoulder, and scalp massage is a simple, effective, and very accessible technique.

Neck/Shoulders: The muscles in the shoulders and neck are constantly working to keep the body and head in balance, which leads to an accumulation of muscle fatigue. The benefits of this massage include releasing tension in the neck and shoulders, relaxing muscles, stimulating blood circulation, and reducing cortisol (the stress hormone).

Scalp: In Ayurvedic medicine, head and foot massages (Padabhyanga) are among the most important massages for the body! Scalp massage is a practice in Ayurveda aimed at increasing blood circulation in the head, which helps detoxify the brain. This massage reduces stress, is excellent for hair health, and is… surprisingly pleasant to receive!

You will practice and be able to bring the techniques home and share with your loved ones. Join us and bring the art of relaxation into your life!

Offered as 1 afternoon workshop (subject to change).
