Father William Meninger, a member of the contemplative Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance, is one of the founders of the Centering Prayer movement and has been teaching this form of Christian contemplative meditation since 1974. Based at St. Benedict’s Monastery in Snowmass, Colorado, he leaves his silent monastic life only four times each year to travel and teach. He has authored many books, including The Process of Forgiveness and The Loving Search for God.
