In the ancient wisdom of the Vedas are tools that can empower and enlighten. While remaining true to the roots of her lineage, trailblazing spiritual teacher Acharya Shunya — the first female lineage-holder in her tradition — reclaims ancient goddess archetype theory to provide a blueprint for modern women’s empowerment.
In this three-part satsang series, Acharya Shunya will offer insights into Vedic wisdom through the retelling of legends involving Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati. She will honor the spiritual foundations of the Vedas, while offering a nuanced and unique perspective that reveals more than typically meets the mind in consideration of these archetypes.
Acharya Shunya is deeply invested and committed in sharing how these goddesses can serve our modern world, and how their legends can be adapted for a more just and equitable society — in keeping with the intention of original Vedic tradition. These teachings will be adapted from her new book, Roar Like A Goddess, coming September 6, 2022, from Sounds True. This tome, which Publisher’s Weekly called “an enlightening and empathetic guide to finding one’s inner strength,” was inspired by Mother Saraswati herself, and channeled through divine feminine inspiration and wisdom.
Each week will focus on Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati, for a comprehensive overview of her archetype, a primary legend, and how she can inform and inspire modern spiritualized feminist living.
