Stress, anxiety, and depression are three states many of us can relate to these days. In this experiential course you will be guided through the basics of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)*. Evidence-based teachings and practices will be shared to help you better manage the waves of life and reduce the impacts associated with anxiety, stress, and depression.
Mindfulness is a non-judgmental way of paying attention to the present moment with compassion. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is designed to bring awareness to the habitual ways of being that can lead to depressive and anxious spirals.
MBCT combines the skills of CBT and mindfulness-based practices, helping participants learn how to respond in more skillful ways to increase well-being and decrease suffering.
This course will provide ample opportunity for practicing and learning mindfulness-based practices including mindful movement and walking, which can be used in your daily life back home.**
Every BODY welcome! Trauma-informed Facilitator.
Course is limited to 20 participants. Please register early.
*This is a skill and study based group not clinical group therapy. This course is a modified version based on 8-week course.
**Guided meditation recordings will be provided.
