Step away from the noise of daily life and enter the quiet rhythm of ashram living during the sacred time of Navaratri. Into Stillness is a gentle, immersive retreat designed to help you reconnect with the stillness that exists beneath the movement of life.
Through daily yoga, meditation, chanting, satsang, nourishing meals, and guided reflection, participants are invited to soften effort, regulate the nervous system, and cultivate a deeper sense of presence and inner steadiness. Rooted in the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gītā and supported by the devotional energy of Navaratri, this experience offers a compassionate space for rest, awareness, and renewal.
Ānandi’s grounded and intuitive approach weaves together traditional yogic teachings with an understanding of the body’s natural rhythms, creating an environment where insight and clarity can arise organically. Rather than striving for transformation, participants are encouraged to slow down, listen inwardly, and rediscover the quiet center within themselves.
Open to all levels, this retreat is ideal for anyone longing to reconnect with themselves through simplicity, community, and sacred practice.
Inspired by Bhagavad Gītā Chapter 4, Verse 18 — “action in inaction, and inaction in action” — Into Stillness invites a lived experience of awareness that can continue long after leaving the ashram.
This program is part of the Retreat Leader Program, which supports Sivananda TTC graduates in growing as leaders and introducing their communities to the ashram through an authentic, guided retreat experience.

Ānandi Andrea Shorey, AHCH, LMT, E-RYT500+, is a yoga teacher, Ayurvedic Health Counselor, Reiki Master, and retreat leader devoted to helping others reconnect with balance, clarity, and inner rhythm.
Practicing yoga since 2014, what began as a tool for managing stress evolved into a lifelong path of yogic study and embodied practice. Ānandi recently completed her Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat, deepening her connection to traditional yoga and ashram living.
Her work weaves together yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and hands-on healing modalities to create a grounded and compassionate approach to transformation. She is honored to guide this retreat experience and support students in immersing themselves in the rhythm and wisdom of ashram life.
