Course Description:
In the past few decades, Yoga has been recognized by the scientific community as very effective in stress reduction. Consequently, Yoga is now being recommended as one of the proven tools to manage stress for those suffering from it. In this retreat, we’ll explore the scientific vs. the yogic understanding of stress and the yogic tools to manage it.
In the Asana classes, we will practice some of these techniques, initially with the emphasis on how they help to develop resilience to stress, but also how they become the foundation to manage stress altogether.
Each day there will be roughly divided into a 45-minute lecture and a 75-minute Yoga Asana practice. We will also have time for Q&A, so please bring your questions!
This program is offered live through Zoom webinar. For enrolled students, a video recording will be available after each class in the event you miss a class or would like to review the content.
It is possible to register and take the course at any time. You can catch up on any classes you miss with the recordings.
