Rukmini Walker is a teacher of Bhakti Yoga, as well as an activist in interfaith dialogue and in women’s spiritual empowerment. She is the founder of the Urban Devi collective held in New York City at the Bhakti Center.
At the age of sixteen, Rukmini met her guru, Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and began a lifelong study of Bhakti Yoga, living and teaching in yoga ashrams in India, Canada, and the United States. She now lives with her husband in Washington DC, and she is the mother of kirtan artist, Gaura Vani.
