Andy and Noella Bouvier have been married for 38 years and have faced many of life’s tragedies, including serious health challenges. In 1999, their 22-year-old daughter, Julie, was repeatedly stabbed by a man suffering from mental illness. Since then, the Bouviers have traveled a painful journey as their Christian beliefs of forgiveness for a person they knew to be mentally ill were challenged by feelings of deep anger and unforgiveness against the man who tried to murder their beloved daughter.
