Julie MacAdam is a passionate somatic therapist, educator, and seasoned yoga instructor devoted to guiding others toward deep healing and transformation. With a Master’s in Embodiment Studies from Goddard College, she weaves together somatic therapy, dreamwork, expressive arts, and plant medicine to help individuals and groups release stress and trauma—unlocking greater ease, authenticity, and resilience.

Her extensive training includes certifications from the Tamalpa Institute, a leading movement-based expressive arts therapy program, and completion of the rigorous three-year trauma resolution program at Somatic Experiencing International. As a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Educator (RSMT/E), dreamworker, and clinical and community herbalist, she draws from a vast well of wisdom—including her studies at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism and various renowned herbal programs nationwide.

Rooted in the belief that the body holds profound intelligence and that healing flourishes when we align with forces beyond ourselves, Julie creates spaces for transformation where clients can reclaim their power, deepen self-awareness, and forge meaningful connections. Whether through individual virtual sessions, in-person group work, or teaching hatha yoga, meditation, and dream exploration at the University of Vermont, she fosters a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for growth.
When she’s not facilitating healing, Julie finds joy in slowing down, moving with creativity, immersing herself in nature, and cherishing time with loved ones. Her commitment to deep listening, embodied awareness, and the transformative power of creativity and connection shines through in all she does.
