Cat O’Connor has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. In 2022, she deepened her studies by completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat, immersing herself in the classical teachings of Hatha yoga, pranayama, and meditation. She holds a deep respect for the Sivananda tradition and the ashram setting, valuing its simplicity, discipline, and devotional approach to practice. Meditation and self-inquiry are central to how Cat approaches teaching and life.

Alongside this classical foundation, Cat’s earlier training includes extensive study in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition, as well as complementary training in Yin, Restorative, and other therapeutic modalities over the years, which continue to inform her thoughtful and balanced approach.

As a powerful complement to yoga, Cat is a dedicated writer and retreat facilitator, guiding reflective writing sessions and sacred sharing circles that invite honesty, connection, and personal insight. Her work weaves movement, stillness, and storytelling into spaces that feel intentional, grounded, and welcoming.

She is passionate about creating containers where strength and softening coexist, and where each participant feels safe and supported in their unfolding.
