Golden Milk Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred milk)
  • 1 tsp of ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp of ground cardamom (for a fragrant, warming touch)
  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tsp of honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • A pinch of black pepper (enhances the absorption of turmeric)
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg (optional, for warmth)
  • A dash of vanilla extract (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, combine the almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, coconut oil, and black pepper.
  2. Heat Gently: Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring continuously. Make sure it doesn’t boil—just get it hot enough to be comfortably sipped.
  3. Sweeten: Once warmed, remove from heat and stir in the honey or maple syrup, and the vanilla extract if using.
  4. Blend (Optional): For an extra frothy texture, you can blend the mixture in a blender for 20-30 seconds.
  5. Serve: Pour into your favorite mug, sprinkle with a little nutmeg or cinnamon on top, and enjoy mindfully.
