Cumin, Coriander & Fennel: The Ayurvedic Tea for Digestion & Calm

A Simple Ayurvedic Tea to Support Digestion & Ease Holiday Stress

During busy seasons—or anytime life feels a little overwhelming—Ayurveda reminds us that small, daily rituals can help reset the mind and soothe the body. One of the simplest and most effective is Cumin, Coriander, and Fennel Seed Tea, known as CCF Tea.

This classic Ayurvedic blend is gentle yet powerful. It supports healthy digestion, reduces bloating, calms the nervous system, and helps the body feel lighter and more balanced. Whether enjoyed first thing in the morning, between meals, or after a heavy day, CCF Tea is a grounding ritual you can return to again and again.

Ayurvedic Benefits of CCF Tea

  • Cumin warms and strengthens digestion
  • Coriander cools and soothes the gut
  • Fennel reduces bloating and calms the mind

Together, they create a harmonious blend that balances all three doshas and supports both physical and emotional well-being.

CCF Tea Recipe

Ingredients

Mix equal parts cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds. You can start with a tablespoon of each and work up to making larger amounts as needed.

Place 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of the seed mixture in a tea bag or ball (or directly into a teapot if you have a strainer).

Pour 1-2 cups or hot water over the seeds and let steep for about 10 minutes.

Pour into a mug and enjoy warm.

Sip throughout the day, after meals, or anytime you need a moment of grounding. Many people find it especially helpful during colder months or times of stress.

If you'd like a seasonal reset, this tea pairs beautifully with our upcoming Detox Cleanse Retreats.
