We are all faced at times in our lives with choices and decisions that seem unmanageable and cause us to doubt what we are doing. At the beginning of the Bhagavad Gita, the great warrior Arjuna is despondent as he finds himself faced with the choice of fighting a just war against people he is related to and was taught by, or abandoning his duty and facing dishonor.
Fortunately for Arjuna, Lord Krishna comes to his aid. Arjuna realizing his helplessness surrenders himself completely to the Lord. Sri Krishna enlightens Arjuna on the immortal nature of the Atman and guides him to perform his duty without attachment to the outcome.
