This training for yoga teachers and health-care practitioners gives you the skills to integrate therapeutic yoga and healing modalities into your practice and effectively serve individuals recovering from illness or injury, pregnant women, or aging populations. Learn therapeutic yoga techniques to bring the various systems within the body into balance, reduce pain, release long-held tensions, and produce a state of mind conducive to the healing process. At the heart of the Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training is the intention to bring the healing power of yoga to those in need. Successful therapeutic yoga programs are now being used in hospitals, senior centers, physical therapy institutes, and wellness centers. Whether you are a certified yoga teacher, registered nurse, physiotherapist, or healer this course will give you the tools and the confidence to help your client/patients even more by incorporating therapeutic yoga techniques into their plan of care.
There are no prerequisites for this training. For yoga teachers it qualifies for 30 hours of CEUs from Yoga Alliance.
Nora Benian (Sundari) is a Sivananda Yoga teacher, yoga therapist, registered professional counselor, and Thai Yoga Massage practitioner with a diploma of homeopathy from the British Institute of Homeopathy in Toronto, Canada. As a yoga therapist, she prescribes yogic practices along with counseling techniques to bring clients into alignment, build strength, and open energy channels to increase the life force.
This training qualifies for 30 hours of CEUs from Yoga Alliance.

Your course schedule has been designed by the presenter to provide a holistic educational experience, and includes course presentation time, meal times, and free time for you to enjoy the beach and the grounds and participate in the ashram’s daily programs. Lines in bold type indicate required course times.
Morning and Evening Satsang: community gatherings for meditation, chanting & teachings; sometimes a silent beach walk.
Yoga Asana & Pranayama Classes: available on outdoor ocean and bayfront platforms (beginner and intermediate levels offered twice daily).
