Yoga Vacation Program
June 6 — 9, 2027

The Science of Yoga in Modern Medicine

Sat Bir Singh Khalsa

Modern medicine excels at treating acute illness, yet many people continue to struggle with chronic stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, trauma, and lifestyle-related disease. Yoga offers something profoundly different: a time-tested, holistic approach that strengthens the body, calms the mind, regulates the nervous system, and reconnects us to deeper meaning and well-being.

In this illuminating progam, discover the science behind yoga’s therapeutic power—explained in clear, accessible language. Explore how yoga enhances mind-body awareness, supports emotional and physiological self-regulation, improves physical functioning, and awakens the inner resources essential for healing and resilience. Learn why yoga is increasingly recognized as a credible and valuable complement to modern medicine, particularly in addressing today’s epidemic of chronic stress-related conditions.

The program also includes three experiential Kundalini Yoga workshops focused on practical healing tools for:

  • Sleep & Insomnia – practices to support deep rest and nervous system balance
  • Anxiety – techniques to calm the mind and cultivate inner steadiness
  • Trauma Recovery – gentle practices that promote grounding, resilience, and healing

Participants will leave with both a deeper understanding of why yoga heals and practical tools they can integrate into daily life to support lasting well-being.

Experience yoga not only as a spiritual path—but as a powerful medicine for modern life.

Offered as 1 satsang and 3 workshops (subject to change).

The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with an 8pm satsang on the first day of the program and conclude with a 90-minute 2pm workshop on the last day of the program.  Click here to read more about the Yoga Vacation Program details and view the ashram schedule for yoga classes and meals during your stay.
