Teen Holiday Yoga Program

This program provides a great opportunity for teens to learn and experience new things, while enjoying a yogic lifestyle in a beautiful setting. Each day, teens will participate in a variety of classes and activities, including yoga (postures, breathing, and meditation), arts and crafts, and journalling. They will be exposed to fundamental yoga teachings and consider the applications of yoga wisdom in their lives, including topics like being true to one’s self, developing compassion, gratitude, and good character, the role of karma in our lives, and the keys to a positive, healthy lifestyle.

Teens will also contribute an hour of service to the ashram, becoming part of the community that keeps the ashram humming. You’ll not only have a really good time, you’ll return home with practical knowledge and a few new skills for whatever life holds for you.

Please note Your arrival and departure dates may not permit participation in all the days of this program; however, while at the ashram during these dates, teens must be registered for this program, and a registered adult must accompany all teens at the ashram (Parents/adults register separately for our Yoga Vacation Program). The program meets for 4 hours a day.

Please register for this program at the same time you register for the adult program(s) you will be attending. It is required that your children are registered prior to arriving at the ashram so staff can prepare for the correct number of children.

While staying at the ashram, we request the following from teen guests:

  • Stay on premises, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • Keep noise levels appropriate, especially during quiet hours from 10:00 pm – 8:00 am
  • Respect others and the ashram
  • Limit use of technology.

Bhargavi Chaitanya is an experienced yoga teacher and has been a staff member in the Sivananda organization since 2006.  Bhargavi Chaitanya teaches courses on yoga, meditation, positive thinking, the power of thought, cooking workshops, advanced yoga courses, yoga for adolescents, and more. She is known for her gentle teaching style and for the inner peace and love her students are experiencing while taking her classes.

Daily Schedule (subject to change):

9:00 to 10:00am Morning asana & pranayama class
11:00am to 12:00pm Karma Yoga
4:00 to 6:00pm Afternoon Session
