Swami Vishnudevananda Mahasamadhi

Krishnan Namboodiri

Our founder and guru, Swami Vishnudevananda passed on a legacy that continues to guide our mission to bring peace to the world through yoga and Vedanta. Come celebrate the life and teachings of this great master as we honor him on the anniversary of the day he left his body on November 9, 1993. In Yogic tradition, when a great saint or sage attains Mahasamadhi, the great and final samadhi — the state of leaving one’s body — it is a time for celebration and thanksgiving. Join us for this celebration with puja, prayer, and satsang as we come together to honor Swami Vishnudevananda, his legacy, and his mission.

November 9th, 8:30pm ET – Guru puja for Swami Vishnudevananda’s Mahasamadhi
November 10th, 6:30am ET – The Life of Swami Vishnudevananda with Swami Brahmananda
November 11th, 6:30am ET – Guru puja for Swami Vishnudevananda’s Jalasamadhi
