Safe Enough: The Spiritual Practice of Repair

Wayne Baker

This program is part of The Alchemy of Healing: Transforming Trauma into Wholeness Symposium, January 21-24, 2027

Life inevitably brings loss, disappointment, conflict, and heartbreak. Yet true healing does not come from making pain disappear or neatly resolving every chapter of our lives. Rather, it emerges from learning how to hold the full spectrum of human experience—grief and gratitude, anger and love, longing and acceptance—with greater wisdom, compassion, and presence.

In this heartfelt and deeply grounded program, we will explore what resilience looks like beyond clichés and spiritual bypassing. Together, we’ll examine the difference between forgiveness and reconnection, why healthy boundaries are an essential part of healing, and how genuine repair unfolds through humility, truth, and the courage to return to what matters most. Rather than asking us to “get over it,” this program honors the reality of being human and offers a practical, life-affirming path toward greater peace and wholeness.

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how healing happens in real life, a steadier and more compassionate relationship with their own struggles, and a simple contemplative practice to carry into meditation and daily living. Above all, this program offers the reassurance that you are not alone—and that resilience is not about perfection, but about learning to meet life with an open heart.

Offered a 1 satsang and 2 workshops (subject to change).

The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with an 8pm satsang on the first day of the program and conclude with a 90-minute 2pm workshop on the last day of the program.  Click here to read more about the Yoga Vacation Program details and view the ashram schedule for yoga classes and meals during your stay.
