Restorative Yoga

Deep Rest for the Nervous System

Nora Benian (Sundari)

Step into a sanctuary of ease and renewal this Mother’s Day weekend with three workshops of Restorative Yoga, designed to calm the nervous system, release tension, and restore harmony to mind, body, and soul.

Restorative Yoga is the yoga of non-doing—a gentle, nurturing practice that invites the body to fully relax. Using supportive props such as blankets, bolsters, straps, and chairs, each posture is held comfortably, allowing muscles, joints, and the nervous system to release deeply held tension. When the body feels fully supported, it naturally enters a state of balance, regeneration, and healing rest.

This program is accessible to all bodies and levels of ability. Whether you’re recovering from stress, fatigue, or injury, or simply seeking a pause from life’s demands, Restorative Yoga provides a safe, nurturing space to reconnect with yourself and dive inward.

Benefits of attending:

  • Deep physical relaxation and release of tension
  • Rejuvenation of the body and restoration of natural energy
  • Quieting of the mind and cultivation of inner calm
  • Renewed sense of presence, balance, and well-being

Step away from effort and into ease—allow your body to rest, your mind to settle, and your spirit to flourish. Leave feeling refreshed, aligned, and reconnected to your inner self, carrying the restorative benefits with you into your daily life.

Offered as 3 workshops (subject to change).

The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with a 90-minute 2 pm workshop on the first day of the program and conclude with a 90-minute noon workshop on the last day of the program.  Click here to read more about the Yoga Vacation Program details and view the ashram schedule for yoga classes and meals during your stay.
