
Rest and Rejuvenate is a restorative three-day experience designed to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and reset your vagus nerve. In today’s fast-paced world, many people live in a constant state of overwhelm, leaving the body stuck in action mode. This rejuvenation retreat offers time to slow down, reset your nervous system, and restore balance through gentle but powerful practices that Neuro-Yoga practices that support relaxation and healing.
Throughout the three days, participants will engage in calming activities such as deep relaxation, guided breathwork, restorative movement, nature connection, nourishing meals, and intentional rest. In each session participates will learn the Neuro-Yoga and Micro-resting practices designed to rejuvenate your vagus nerve, regulate the nervous system, improve mental clarity, release tension, and promote inner peace. The environment encourages stillness, reflection, and self-care without pressure or distraction.

By the end of the retreat, participants will leave feeling calmer, centered, refreshed, and equipped with practical tools to support their wellbeing in everyday life.
We suggest you arrive at least one day prior to the start of this course and stay until at least one day after the course ends for the optimal experience.

M. Mala Cunningham, Ph.D., C-IAYT, is a counseling psychologist and certified yoga therapist. She is also on the faculty at the University of Virginia School of Nursing where she teaches courses in lifestyle management and medical yoga to health professionals. Dr. Mala is the president of Positive Health Solutions and founder and director of the Cardiac Medical Yoga Teacher Training Certification Program and the Neuroscience and Yoga Teacher Training Program.
Dr. Mala is a leading speaker, educator, and trainer in the field of Lifestyle Medicine, Health Psychology, and Neuroscience. Her passion is creating a bridge between medicine, psychology, neuroscience, and yoga. Dr. Mala is a senior disciple of Swami Satchidananda and has been practicing and teaching yoga for more than 35 years.

Your course schedule has been designed by the presenter to provide a holistic educational experience, and includes course presentation time, meal times, and free time for you to enjoy the beach and the grounds and participate in the ashram’s daily programs.
Morning and Evening Satsang: community gatherings for meditation, chanting & teachings; sometimes a silent beach walk.
Yoga Asana & Pranayama Classes: available on outdoor ocean and bayfront platforms (beginner and intermediate levels offered twice daily).
