To receive the many benefits of yoga practice, proper alignment is fundamental. Without attention to alignment, injuries often occur. Alignment follows the body’s anatomy and natural design, which is essential for health, vitality, and function.
This full experiential program will introduce the basic concepts of alignment necessary in all asanas. There is some partner and hands-on assistance to better appreciate and put alignment to use. We will learn how to set correct postural foundations and how to apply alignment in asanas that are part of the Sivananda practice, inviting us to reach a higher level of our yoga potential. You can use everything you learn immediately.

Steven Weiss, MS, DC, E-RYT, C-IAYT is a holistic chiropractor, nutritionist, and certified yoga therapist. He has served as a wellness and yoga faculty member with the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies for 25 years and teaches internationally. Steven is author of The Injury-Free Yoga Practice, Integrative Alignment Yoga Therapy, and Yoga Alignment, Principles and Practice.
