
Presence Psychotherapy is mindfulness trauma therapy rooted in evidenced-based practice integrating spirituality, parts inquiry, the nervous system, and relational attunement to facilitate healing. This highly supportive training for mental health professionals provides skills to help clinicians and their clients to easily orient to and sustain awareness of Four Dimensions of Presence, and then utilize Presence Awareness to access and many layers and nuance of trauma and to to process overwhelming feelings, heal attachment wounds and resolve Fight, Flight, Freeze, Fawn and Shock and experience well-being.
You will learn how to expand your Presence Awareness to facilitate clients’ awareness of the subtle energy of Presence as it exists in many forms and frequencies. This experiential component of the training will help you attune to each client’s portal to Presence Awareness through:
Theory and skills are presented didactically, followed by live demonstrations. You will have have the opportunity to practice skills with compassionate, experienced Presence Psychotherapists working in groups of 3-4 participants throughout the training to ease and enhance the learning process and help make it a truly enjoyable experience.
What is unique about this program:
This exciting program includes skill building for clinicians to increase their embodiment of Presence and ability to experience Presence in and around others. This professional training is offered in a retreat setting to facilitate increased capacity to utilize Presence Awareness in sessions.

This is a highly experiential training. You will explore 4 Dimensions of Presence personally and experience the benefit of each as part of learning how to help clients orient to Presence. Participants in Presence Psychotherapy training tend to bond quickly.

Michelle Lepak, LCSW is the developer of Presence Psychotherapy, a spiritually grounded approach to trauma treatment that integrates somatic practices, mindfulness, and emotional healing. Her work has been published in the Journal of Integrative Psychotherapy and the International Journal of Trauma Care, reflecting her commitment to deep, holistic therapeutic care.
Michelle has served as clinical associate faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently on faculty at the Omega Institute. She has led trauma-focused trainings for mental health professionals at Rutgers University and the National Institute for the Psychotherapies.
She is extensively trained in several body-based trauma modalities, including Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and AEDP, and is an approved consultant in Internal Family Systems (IFS), offering guidance and supervision to therapists integrating IFS into their work.
In addition to her clinical training, Michelle has been a dedicated meditator for over 30 years and is a certified Level 1 restorative yoga teacher. Her approach draws on both psychological insight and spiritual presence, offering a compassionate, integrative path to healing for individuals and professionals alike.

Your course schedule has been designed by the presenter to provide a holistic educational experience, and includes course presentation time, meal times, and free time for you to enjoy the beach and the grounds and participate in the ashram’s daily programs.
Morning and Evening Satsang: community gatherings for meditation, chanting & teachings; sometimes a silent beach walk.
Yoga Asana & Pranayama Classes: available on outdoor ocean and bayfront platforms (beginner and intermediate levels offered twice daily).
