Pranayama Workshop: Back to Basics (for beginners as well as advanced practitioners)

Date & Time: 12:30-2:00pm EDT. Offered as four weekly sessions on Tuesdays. October 20, 27, November 3 & 10

Hours: 6 hours

What You’ll Learn:

  • Create a relationship with your breath and the Divine Life Force
  • Develop a connection with Prana and the Mind
  • Bring the practice of mindfulness of breath into your daily life
  • Learn to use the breath as a tool to master your mind and body

Description:

Pranayama is one of the most potent practices in the Hatha Yoga tradition. Prana is the Life Energy that animates every function and every system of the body. Once we learn how to balance and harmonize Prana, all of its manifestations are synchronized, and it allows us to feel complete and whole in the Body, Mind, and Spirit.

Many people learn to approach the Pranayama (Yogic Breathing Techniques) in a technical manner, which can feel as though breathwork is a struggle. But the breath is just a medium that allows us to approach Prana, and through it, the Mind on a subtle level.

Over the course of four webinars, we will learn how to transform our approach and relationship with the breath. We will learn how to create a deep and intimate relationship with each inhalation and exhalation, and especially with each retention. We will find how the breath nourishes us with energy, eventually leading us to access the cosmic ocean of the Divine Life Force

We will go back to the basics, and see how the right approach can unlock for us the treasures of this ancient mystic practice.

This program is offered live through Zoom webinar with the availability for students to interact through Q&A with the presenter.

For enrolled students, a video recording will be available after each class in the event you miss a class or would like to review the content.

It is possible to register and take the course at any time. You can catch up on any classes you miss with the recordings.
