Overcoming Pain with Yoga

A Pain Care Aware Immersion

Lisa Pearson and Neil Pearson
Tuition: $595

This Pain Care Aware Immersion is open to all – even those who have studied with Neil and Lisa before. We all know pain. Rarely do we have chance to be guided through discussions and experiences in which we “think about what we think about pain”. When we experience pain in yoga, learning to shine our light toward the pain allows us to become more discerning, more adaptable and more courageous.

The Pain Care Aware Immersion brings an understanding of pain science into yoga as health promotion, into our efforts to prevent yoga injuries, and into the provision of yoga as treatment or recovery for people with persisting pain.

Join us to gain understandings of pain based on science and on yoga. Then apply what you have learned to situations in which there is pain during asana. Safely explore your own pain, practice new approaches, challenge your limitations and know how to step-back and surrender. Acknowledge that deeply embedded misconceptions about pain and yoga can promote language of fear and fragility. Explore shifting towards fearlessness, curiosity and an approach to human resilience based on pain science and yoga.

This is the only in-person offering of the Pain Care Aware Immersion program with the Pain Care Aware founders. Join us in The Bahamas for your next step towards becoming Pain Care Aware.

All those completing the program will gain free access to the online self-paced Pain Care Aware Foundations course.

Lisa has been a yoga teacher, E-RYT500 and yoga therapist, C-IAYT, for nearly three decades. After completing Yoga Seminary In 2009 Lisa was ordained Swami Swarupananda, in the Kriya Yoga lineage by Sri Goswami Kriyananda. Swami Lisa offers personal guidance and mentorships in Kriya Yoga for Pain Care.
