The Dakshinamurthy Stotram is a masterpiece poem composed by the great philosopher Adi Shankaracharya of the 8th century. Apart from the poetic excellence of this work, it is summarizing the highest teachings of the Advaita Vedanta teachings in a simple, clear, and direct way encompassed in just ten verses. It is considered to be one of the greatest and most beloved poems of the Hindu tradition. Dakshinamurthy, who is an epithet of Lord Siva, is manifesting as God, as the Guru, and as the Atman (Self). He is being worshipped in this text through the process of philosophical inquiry.

This program is offered live through Zoom. It is possible to register and take the course beginning at any time. There is no course tuition for this program however donations to support the ashram’s mission are greatly appreciated.

Swamini Atmaprakashananda Saraswati is the Acharya of Arsha Vidya in the United Kingdom. A disciple of renowned Vedantic teacher, Swami Dayananda Saraswati of Rishikesh, her depth of expertise in traditional Advaita Vedanta shines light on even the smallest nuances of its principles, allowing her students to gain a more complete understanding.
