Healing Turkish Mystic Music and Poetry

Latif Bolat

Step into the heart of Turkish Sufi culture through an inspiring blend of music, poetry, history, and philosophy. This program presents the timeless works of mystic teachers and poets such as Rumi, Yunus Emre, and other Sufi masters whose words and melodies continue to awaken the soul.

Satsangs are a full evening concert, weaving together the beauty of Turkish Sufi music and poetry with the spiritual depth of a thousand-year-old tradition. The workshops are designed to open new perspectives on Sufism and Turkish culture. These interactive sessions will offer insight into:

  • A fresh understanding of Islam and Islamic mysticism (Sufism)
  • 1000 years of Turkish Sufi philosophy, music, poetry, dance, and rituals
  • Turkish music genres and theory (makams)
  • Turkish and Ottoman history, from Central Asia to Anatolia

This program offers a rare opportunity to explore the profound beauty of Sufi spirituality and Turkish heritage. It invites audiences not only to listen, but to engage, reflect, and connect with a living tradition of music, art, and wisdom.

Offered as 2 satsangs and 3 workshops (subject to change).

The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with an 8pm satsang on the first day of the program and conclude with a 90-minute 2pm workshop on the last day of the program.
