Freedom from the Mind

The Ancient Yogic Path to Stillness, Clarity, and Inner Peace

Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati
The mind is the most powerful instrument you will ever possess — and the most dangerous one you have never been taught to use. Left untrained, it becomes a relentless source of suffering: anxious, reactive, and utterly convinced that it is you. We become prisoners of our own thoughts — replaying the past, dreading the future, and missing the life that is happening right now.

Yet beneath every storm of thought and mental noise, the ancient yogic teachings point to something extraordinary: a stillness that has never actually been disturbed, and a freedom that was never actually lost.

The question is not how to escape the mind. It is how to stop being ruled by it — and how to wield it, finally, as the master key it was always meant to be.

In this immersive three-day retreat, Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati — Stanford-educated psychologist, author, and spiritual leader with thirty years of living, practicing, and teaching in the Himalayas — weaves together the wisdom of Advaita Vedanta, the science of meditation, and the latest findings of neuroscience to guide you through the most transformative shift a human being can make: from identification with the mind to the awareness that lies beneath it — and from a mind that works against you to one that works powerfully and freely for you.

Together we will explore:

  • Why you are not your thoughts — and how to experience that directly, not just intellectually
  • The Vedantic teaching on the witness consciousness — the awareness that was never disturbed
  • How to train the mind as the instrument it was always meant to be, using ancient yogic tools confirmed by modern neuroscience
  • Freedom from the inner critic, fear, anxiety, and the exhausting loop of overthinking
  • How to bring this freedom into relationships, work, and the texture of everyday life
  • What artificial intelligence reveals about the irreducible mystery of human consciousness

This retreat is for you if:

  • You feel ruled by your own mind — by worry, self-doubt, or relentless mental noise
  • You have a spiritual practice but still feel the mind is winning
  • You are drawn to the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern science
  • You are ready for something deeper than stress management — and are open to the possibility that freedom is not something you achieve, but something you recognize.

Offered as 2 satsangs and 3 workshops (subject to change).

The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with an 8pm satsang on the first day of the program and conclude with a 90-minute 2pm workshop on the last day of the program.  Click here to read more about the Yoga Vacation Program details and view the ashram schedule for yoga classes and meals during your stay.
