Fleet Maull, PhD, CMT-P is an author, meditation teacher, mindset coach, and social entrepreneur who works at the intersection of personal and social transformation.
He is the CEO & Founder of the global, transformative education platform, Heart Mind Institute, ranking 578 and 1,305 on the 2024 and 2025 Inc. 5000 Lists, offering online summits and courses integrating western science with ancestral & contemplative wisdom.
He also founded Prison Mindfulness Institute and National Prison Hospice Association, catalyzing two national movements, while serving a 14-year federal drug sentence, 1985 to 1999. He co-founded the Engaged Mindfulness Institute, training trauma-informed mindfulness teachers to work with individuals and communities impacted by trauma and marginalization, and Center for Mindfulness in Public Safety, training corrections and other public safety professionals in mindfulness-based wellness & resiliency (MBWR) skills.
He is a senior Dharma teacher in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and a senior Zen teacher (Roshi) and Dharma successor of Bernie Tetsugen Glassman Roshi, founder of the Zen Peacemakers International. Roshi Fleet has served on the leadership team for the annual Zen Peacemakers Auschwitz Bearing Witness Retreat for more than 20 years and co-founded the Rwanda Bearing Witness retreats.
Based on his 50+ years of study and practice of numerous meditation techniques from the world’s contemplative traditions, Dr. Maull developed Neuro-Somatic Mindfulness (NSM) meditation, a deeply embodied, neuroscience and trauma informed approach to meditation that accelerates healing, transformation, and spiritual awakening.
