Consciousness: Non-duality of Science and Spirituality

Dr. Abha Rajbhandari

Where neuroscience meets non-dual wisdom

What if consciousness isn’t simply something the brain creates, but the very ground of being itself?

This immersive workshop invites you to explore consciousness through the complementary lenses of modern neuroscience and the timeless spiritual philosophy of Advaita Vedanta. Rather than seeing science and spirituality as opposites, we’ll explore how they inform and enrich one another—revealing new ways to understand awareness, identity, and the nature of reality.

You’ll examine how the brain, vagus nerve, and body influence our experiences of fear, stress, and presence—and how these biological mechanisms can become portals to deeper insight when combined with contemplative practice. Through both guided discussion and direct awareness exercises, you’ll move beyond theory into lived experience.

This isn’t just a presentation—it’s a chance to shift your relationship with yourself, your mind, and the world.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Gain a practical and accessible framework that bridges science and spiritual inquiry
  • Explore how subjective experience, brain function, and non-dual awareness intersect
  • Engage in experiential practices grounded in yogic and Vedantic traditions
  • Leave with tools to cultivate clarity, resilience, and a more integrated sense of self

Whether you’re a scientist, a seeker, or simply curious, this offering is designed to engage your intellect while awakening your inner knowing. It’s an opportunity to step beyond dualistic thinking—and into a deeper, more unified way of experiencing life.

Perfect for those ready to ask meaningful questions and open to discovering answers in both the seen and unseen dimensions of existence.

Offered as 1 workshop (subject to change).

Abha is a neuroscientist fascinated by the intricate dance between the brain, vagus nerve, and body—especially in the realms of fear, stress, and anxiety. Her research dives into how our biological systems shape our emotional lives, and how understanding these patterns can lead to greater resilience and healing.

But Abha’s inquiry doesn’t stop in the lab. A lifelong spiritual seeker and holistic health enthusiast, she views the mind and body as inseparable—and believes true well-being comes from honoring both. For her, yoga is a way of life, not just a practice on the mat.

Born in Nepal and now based in the United States, Abha blends the ancient wisdom of her roots with modern scientific insight. She’s driven by a passion to bridge science and spirituality, and to explore life’s deepest questions through a unique lens of logic, mysticism, and embodied experience.
