The Nature of Reality

Choices Beyond the Finite Mind

Menas Kafatos

Every human being at some point in one’s life wonders about the meaning of life. We wonder what is in fact real in life, and where the flow of time will take us.

Together we will explore how quantum mechanics and the great non-dual traditions of India answer these same questions. We will examine some of the great Saivite scriptures, which fundamentally agree with the wisdom of Advaita Vedanta.

As human beings, the choices we have are beyond the finite mind and can only be approached with the realization that what is profound in our life is also meaningful. The dialogue, so to speak, between science and non-dual traditions is particularly important now in our search for meaning and fulfillment in our lives. We can gain perspective on some of life’s most important questions, by going to the source of all, which is the Light within.
