This program is part of the Science of the Afterlife Symposium, December 5-8, 2027.
Can love continue beyond death? Decades of research suggest that many people experience meaningful connections with loved ones who have passed—experiences that often bring profound comfort, healing, and a renewed sense of peace. In this inspiring program, renowned researcher and counselor Dr. Janice Miner Holden explores the science, research, and transformative potential of After-Death Communication (ADC) and Induced After-Death Communication (IADC), offering hope and healing to those navigating grief and loss.
Drawing on more than 125 years of research, Dr. Holden examines the prevalence, characteristics, and lasting impact of spontaneous after-death communication, while creating a welcoming space for participants to share their own experiences. She also introduces the evidence-based practice of Induced After-Death Communication (IADC), a therapeutic approach shown to ease the pain of grief, and offers a rare opportunity to witness a live demonstration session. Whether you are personally grieving, supporting someone through loss, or a mental health professional interested in this groundbreaking modality, you will gain practical insight into how these experiences can normalize grief, deepen healing, reduce fear of death, and open the heart to the enduring bonds of love and connection beyond physical life.
