AcuNidra Retreat: Resting into Presence

A Guided Ashram Retreat

Aime Adams (Ambika)
Tuition: $80

This four-day retreat is a welcoming, guided introduction to life at the ashram with Aime Adams (Ambika), a graduate of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC). It is designed for those who are curious about the ashram experience and would like support in learning its rhythm, traditions, and daily flow, while also exploring AcuNidra as a tool for cultivating presence, balance, and ease.

Participants will follow the regular ashram schedule alongside the full community, including morning and evening satsang, two daily yoga classes, shared vegetarian meals, and time for rest and reflection. Living this rhythm together allows yoga to unfold naturally throughout the day while also creating space for the retreat process to deepen within a supportive collective environment.

Each afternoon, Aime will guide participants through AcuNidra sessions, an integrative practice weaving Yoga Nidra, stimulation of points on the ears, and sound. These sessions offer opportunities for deep rest, gentle nervous system regulation, and the cultivation of inner awareness. Informal gathering time surrounding the sessions will also allow space for questions, connection, and gentle guidance as participants integrate their experience.

No previous experience is necessary, only a willingness to arrive with an open heart and curious mind.

Set within the magical setting of the Sivananda Ashram on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, the experience is gently supported by warm ocean breezes, soft white sand, and inspiration at every turn. The integration of yoga, meditation, satsang, and AcuNidra offers a meaningful opportunity for insight, connection, and renewal.

This program is part of the Retreat Leader Program, which supports Sivananda TTC graduates in growing as leaders and introducing their communities to the ashram through an authentic, guided retreat experience.

Aime’s connection to Yoga Nidra began at the Sivananda Bahamas Ashram in 2012, when she first experienced the practice during her initial yoga teacher training. That encounter quietly shaped both her personal path and the work that would later unfold as AcuNidra, continuing to influence the way she approaches rest, presence, and the holding of healing space today. Within the shared rhythm of practice, community, and the natural beauty of the ashram, participants are warmly invited to join this circle of rest and exploration, discovering what may arise when time is given for stillness, inner listening, and the simple experience of being.

Aime Adams (Ambika) is a Sivananda trained Yoga and Meditation instructor and licensed acupuncturist based in Sedona, Arizona. A health practitioner for over 20 years, she began her path as a massage therapist and continues to evolve her work through East Asian Medicine, contemplative practice, and a quiet devotion to supporting the body’s natural movement toward balance and ease.

Through her practice, Agave Healing Arts, Aime offers individual and group acupuncture sessions as well as AcuNidra, an integrative experience weaving auricular acupuncture, Yoga Nidra, and sound to invite deep rest and inner awareness. She serves people of all ages and backgrounds, including those who are new to yoga and healing as well as those with established practice, holding gentle spaces where stillness, listening, and subtle transformation may arise naturally.
