G.S. Sachdev is recognized worldwide as a master of the bansuri (North Indian flute). He is one of the premier performers on this traditional instrument, with a pure, classical approach that instills tranquility and carries listeners beyond the mind into deep meditation. G.S. Sachdev has been teaching Indian bansuri flute and the history of classical Indian music for more than 40 years. In 1970, he was invited by Maestro Ali Akbar Khan to teach at his eponymous college of music in California before opening his own school and beginning to teach worldwide.
